My Top 3 Travel Wellness Must-Haves: Oman Edition

Travel can be exhilarating, inspiring, and let’s be honest, physically exhausting if you are anything like me. Between dry plane cabins, timezone changes, long airport lines, and unfamiliar routines, it’s easy to feel off-balance before you even reach your destination.

That’s why I never travel without a few go-to wellness essentials to keep me grounded, and comfortable on the way.

I just got to the Middle East (more on that later!), and these simple products made a huge difference during my journey. Whether you’re prepping for a long-haul flight or just need a smoother road trip experience, here are a few items I swear by.

1. Silk Eye Mask

I cannot stress this enough: a good eye mask is a game-changer for travel. I bring a lightweight silk one that blocks out all the light, whether I’m on a red-eye flight or just trying to sneak in a power nap between layovers.

This little luxury helps me wind down faster and signals to my body that it’s time to rest, even if I’m technically somewhere over the Atlantic.

2. Bombas Compression Socks

Sitting for hours on end in cramped seats? No thanks. These compression socks from Bombas help improve circulation, reduce swelling, and keep my legs from feeling like lead by the time I land. I initially got them due to some swelling in my veins, and they were prescribed by my doctor, but now they are an easy way to make me feel physically more comfortable on these 12-hour flights.

I love that they’re actually cute, (pink, blue, and sporty chic) and they’re so supportive - I can literally see the difference in my leg swelling when I don’t wear them.

Bonus: Bombas donates a pair for every pair you purchase—so you can feel good while you travel and do some good at the same time.

3. Nuun Electrolyte Tablets

I’m usually a water fanatic, but travel can make it hard to stay properly hydrated (no one wants to get up every hour to use an airplane bathroom). These Nuun electrolyte tablets come in travel-friendly tubes and are a total lifesaver. Just drop one into your water bottle and sip for an easy hydration boost, especially helpful after a salty in-flight snack or a long travel day in the heat.

They came in extra handy in Oman, where the desert heat hits differently. Strawberry lemonade is my current favorite!

✨ Other Wellness Extras I Pack

These might not be essentials, but they make a huge difference in how I feel when I travel:

Quick Glimpse Into My Trip to Oman

This was my third time visiting Oman, and it’s starting to feel like a home away from home. My fiancé’s family lives here, and each visit deepens my connection to the culture, the people, and the peaceful rhythm of life in this beautiful country.

This time, we are also going to Lebanon halfway through the trip, so I will have the opportunity to explore even more culture, new people, and new places than I usually do. This also means a second set of flights - having my wellness kit will help me stay comfortable throughout the long travel days and 100+ degree heat.
